Viivilla.se defies trend – numbers increasing

Christopher Holmerin at Bonnier Publications explains the site’s success.

While other websites are losing visitors, the Bonnier Publications Sverige site Viivilla.se is defying the trend. The number of visitors to the site has increased by 65 percent compared to the previous month, writes Vassa Eggen in its analytics newsletter. (Figures from Kia index.)

Christopher Holmerin, Nordic publisher for interactive media at Bonnier Publications AB explains the site's success:

"Most recently, we have worked hard and very consciously to get our new interactive solutions in place. They will focus on the site's visitors and at the same time provide good financial returns. We've had our biggest successes with the photo contest Sweden's ugliest kitchen, auctions that attract about 10,000 unique visitors each week, and fredagsluckorna (Friday's Door), which attracts about 20,000 contestants a week. This means we have several strong products connected with viivilla.se, which brings good traffic and good financial returns to both us and our advertisers in the form of revenue and customer leads."
