Sweden’s best bloggers gather at tv4.se this summer

Sommarbloggarna at TV4 has gathered some of Sweden's best bloggers. Every day a new person writes at tv4.se. Sandra Jonsson, managing editor at tv4.se, explains.

How did you get the idea?

"The editorial staff here at tv4.se came up with the idea while we sat and brainstormed about what we would do during the summer. I think it's a very good idea. It's fun for our visitors and, at the same time, drives traffic to the site," says Sandra.

At Sommarbloggarna you can "find new blogs to love, read exclusive posts by favorite bloggers and discover exciting summer reading by some of Sweden's best bloggers." How did you choose the bloggers?  

"We looked at Sweden's most popular blogs, but also included our personal favorites. It's a mix of both major and minor bloggers and the various subjects they write about.

Have you had any responses from readers?

"Visitors really like it judging from the comments they write."

Sommarbloggarna is reminiscent of a certain summer tradition at Radio Sweden.

"Yes, this is a tribute to Sommarpratarna (a radio show where famous Swedish people are guest hosts, talk about their lives and choose music) although a completely different medium with completely different types of people who might not have a chance to be summer guests on the radio.

Will Sommarbloggarna be back next year?

"I am absolutely positive we will see the concept several times. It's eclectic, but fun! And visitors can discover new favorites among the bloggers," says Sandra.
