As a part of relation marketing I've been looking into automated email programs, mainly for the email newsletters. Something we have implemented on the Scandinavian market during the last two years. Probably sometime next week we will launch a sign up confirmation email, which will be the first in a line of automated emails from Bonnier Corporation.
Here they're also beginning to look into email programs for the magazine subscribers, and more trigger and behaviour based email flows. A certain behaviour or action on the website, automatically launches an email or an email flow. The purpose of all this is to produce a more relevant and relation building communication with the email subscribers. The goal is to generate better rates, more inventory, better sales — and better revenue.
Gatorland and Heartland
Two weekends ago we drifted down to Miami to visit my friend Simon there. Me, Ylva (GROW) and her visiting sister and friend Anna and Sofie. We stayed at Simon's house hanging out with Simon and his wife Marina. On Saturday morning Simon, who is a photographer, had to go do a photo shoot under the South Beach Bridge in Miami. I went with him as the sun was setting and it was pretty cool going to a place where you normally would never go.
At noon we headed down to the Everglades National Park to catch ourselves a "gator". They are a little hard to come by though, but on the airboat ride we actually saw a few. Saturday night we bar hopped all of Miami Beach and South Beach, and Sunday we just hanged around South Beach and swam in its clear turquoise water.
Last weekend I went alone to Tampa. All the others here went to Key West, but in Tampa they had something that couldn't be produced anywhere else — U2. I'm a really big fan, but the traffic on the Interstate almost prevented me from going to my 5th U2 concert. Luckily after 4 hours in my car I reached the ticket office just as they were closing it down. As I entered the Raymond James Stadium U2 went on — playing my all time favorite song, Heartland. Take a little peak at this amazing concert here.
After the concert I went out in Tampa with Alexandra who I met here in Orlando. She lived in Copenhagen last year studying, and working at the American embassy. Sunday she was my tour guide around Tampa Bay area and Port of Tampa — the second largest shipping port in the US.
Lost — but not found
For the past month I've been trying to solve a mystery, occurring here in Orlando, The mystery of the lost sunglasses. Until now I've lost three pairs of sunglasses and I don't know if somebody steals them, if they turn invisible, or if I am going crazy from the heat? Stay tuned as I pursue this possible hideous crime!
