Steffen Trannerup: How to almost poison an office

Our Danish GROW ambassador Steffen has a confession to make.

Dear Bonnier — it's been 3 weeks since my last confession.

... and I need to confess —  I almost poisoned the whole office here in Winter Park. I suspected that that probably they wouldn't like the salty ammonium liquorice (Piratos) that we Scandinavians love. But I never intended to cause any harm. My God, they hated it! Only one person, the Database Supporter Chris, liked them — I'm proud of you, Chris!

Besides that, I'm through with my strategy review for email marketing so far, but will stay with the email marketing team. I will probably start looking into automated procedures regarding marketing and relation programs, and how they could be implemented here in the future. Something we've been working with for the last two years in Copenhagen and therefore a super opportunity for me to try and create a usable layout for the future activities here in US.

Outside work I haven't tried to poison or harm anyone — yet. I had a friend visiting for tree weeks, because he was training to be a pilot out on the Space Coast. So me and another friend went with him on his first solo-flight. Very, very exciting :)

The weather is becoming a little cooler here, which is super nice, and some mornings almost seem like a typical summer morning in Copenhagen - not that I miss them right now!

One of the coolest things I've done in a long time was when we went to Blue Springs, 40 minutes north of Orlando. It's a sweet water reservoir where manatees come in — real close. We snorkelled with them in the crystal clear and fresh water on about 5-6 meters depth — an awesome experience.

I also bought a big old truck with big wheels, went to the most kitchy and funny October Fest ever, and been hanging out with Ylva, Chris, Ebba, Zach, Josh, Niels and all the other super cool people that I'm with here.

This weekend we're 5 people going to Miami. I meet a photographer this summer when I was kite-surfing in The Dominican Republic. He's from Miami so we'll be staying at his place there, going to the Everglades and catch a gator - and we'll be shaking' up the Sunshine State!

Over and out — y'all!
