MTV3 Launches Comedy Channel

MTV3 Komedia is set to begin broadcasting in Finland as a new pay-TV channel on cable and satellite networks starting Dec. 15, 2010. MTV3 Komedia will be Finland's first channel that is dedicated to 100 percent comedy. 
 
MTV3 Komedia will offer program content to new target audiences and make the MTV3 Channel Package even more diverse. 

"MTV3 Komedia is a welcome addition to the MTV3 Channel Package," says Jukka Raatikainen, Director of Programming, Pay-TV Services, MTV Media. "For more than 50 years, MTV3 has been a household name as a pioneer in Finnish entertainment, and MTV3 Komedia's varied comedy content will now bring even more fun and laughter to Finnish homes."

The first ever Finnish channel completely and utterly dedicated to comedy, MTV3 Komedia will offer comedy across genres and is guaranteed to have something for every taste, Raatikainen says.
