Movie theater chain SF Bio will take part in Earth Hour by turning off all its neon lights.
The world's biggest environmental demonstration takes place on Saturday March 27, 2010 from 8:30-9:30 p.m. Through a simple act - simply turning out the lights for one hour - people around the world will show their support for the environment and challenge those in power to respond to the issue.
"Naturally we won't be turning out the lights in the lobbies or other areas where our customer's safety and comfort would be compromised," says Thomas Runfors, chief information officer at SF Bio. "And in the movie theaters themselves it's dark most of the time."
SF Bio took part last year as well, and this year it looks like even more communities, companies and individual people will be joining in.
