Maria Lanner: time to go

It is almost time to go.

I have one more hour left here at The Five Mile Press and I am now starting to clean up around my desk, which has grown into the desk next to me and to the desk behind. I was just counting all the books that I have been working on here and come up to the amazing number of 34 titles! It has been a pleasure working here and I will miss both the job and everybody here a lot.

We all went out for lunch today and the group gave me the greatest Australian gifts! A pair of UGG boots for my daughter - she will look fabulous in them - coasters and beercoolers for my husband, a book called Big Aussie Icons, a beautiful picknickbag and a huge card which I will read on the plane, with tears in my eyes.
