Jorid Aldrin: A Night at the Opera

Jorid enjoys Copenhagen's cultural experience and works with analyse of new sites.

Sunday, I just got back from a long walk in the beautiful Fredriksberg gardens which was created more than 300 years ago and is said to be one of the most romantic landscape gardens in Denmark. I can only agree. It was absolutely fantastic with large ponds and canals surrounded by old trees in autumn colours, winding paths and small bridges.

During the last two weeks I have enjoyed some of the cultural experience that Copenhagen offers. Last weekend I visited the Ny Carlsberg Glyptotek, a museum in the center of Copenhagen which houses over 10,000 works of art divided up into two principal collections. One consists is of works from the Mediterranean cradle of Western culture, the other of Danish and French art from the 19th and 20th centuries. It also has an amazing winter garden with a small and cozy cafĂ©.

I also had the opportunity to visit the new opera house in Copenhagen twice this week. The new opera was opened in 2005 and has a very exciting architecture, situated by the water on the island "Holmen" in Copenhagen. Last Friday me and my boyfriend saw the amazing opera Lucia Di Lammermoore, which was absolutely fantastic, and last Monday I went to see West Side Story as a ballet performance.

The last week at Bonnier Publications has been really busy due to all the monthly reports that has to be made and presented to the different departments. I have been working with analysis and created reports on traffic development and traffic channels for all of the Bonnier Publications sites. I have been analyzing data of collaborations with external partners as well as new functions that has been implemented on the sites and created reports.

Last Monday I went to Malmö in Sweden to work with the web editor for iForm.se. The mission for the day was to find a well functioning structure for the site to work with social media channels and other traffic cannels, follow ups and implementations of campaign parameters in newsletters and social media communication.  It was a really good day and we came up with lots of new ideas and concepts which will be interesting to see how they work when implemented.

Now it's time to turn of the computer and check out if the television survived the shift from analog to digital broadcast so I won't miss the Sunday movie. :)
