Fixa Själv Distributed via Tidsam

Spoon and Clas Ohlson's Fixa Själv magazine will be available from 3,500 retailers - along with over 60 Clas Ohlson stores.

Fixa Själv (Do it yourself), which is published by Swedish hardware chain Clas Ohlson in cooperation with Bonnier Tidskrifter's custom magazine producer Spoon, is now being distributed via Tidsam. Which means the magazines will be available not just at Clas Ohlson stores throughout Sweden, but at 3,500 retailers as well.

"Tidsam's launch of Fixa Själv will mean a lot for the magazine in that we'll reach a much broader target group," says Moa Suominen, editor-in-chief for the magazine. "The magazine has sold well so far at Clas Ohlson's more than 60 stores, the number of subscribers has increased and we've marketed ourselves through trade shows and other events."

In order to stand out among the other magazines on newsstands, Fixa Själv will be offered at a competitive price, says Suominen. "And what makes the magazine unique is that it's so handy," she says. "It's not an interior design magazine, but a magazine where you learn something in each issue. It can be everything from how to change a hard disk in a computer to how to clean windows or build patio furniture. And with out close cooperation with Clas Ohlson's own experts, it's easy for us to provide informative articles and tool guides. Plus we're geared toward both men and women. That's why it works so well."
