The world’s three fastest men will take on each other at DN Galan on August 6

Since its inception in 1967, DN Galan has been one of Sweden's leading sports events. On August 6, it's time again at the Stockholm Olympic Stadium. The Swedish newspaper Dagens Nyheter (DN) is the title sponsor of the competition, which is part of the new Diamond League athletic series that began on May 14 in Doha and will conclude on August 27 in Brussels. Fourteen cities are hosting the series, including New York.

Sommarbloggarna (Summertime bloggers) is a tribute to the classic radio program – and a fun way to give attention to both major and minor bloggers around Sweden.

Sommarbloggarna at TV4 has gathered some of Sweden's best bloggers. Every day a new person writes at tv4.se. Sandra Jonsson, managing editor at tv4.se, explains.

How did you get the idea?

"The editorial staff here at tv4.se came up with the idea while we sat and brainstormed about what we would do during the summer. I think it's a very good idea. It's fun for our visitors and, at the same time, drives traffic to the site," says Sandra.

Finland's FS Film Goes Digital

A new digital system will be hitting Finnish theaters soon, thanks to distributor FS Film Oy. The benefits are many, says Timo Räisänen, head of distribution.

Finland's FS Film is going digital. With a system called SmartJog, which has been used already by TV channels, digital prints of a movie from a distributor or film studio can be sent straight to the server of the projector room without the need of a traditional print - or a physical hard drive.

"FS Film is pioneering the system for movie theaters in Finland," says Timo Räisänen, head of theatrical distribution at movie distributor FS Film Oy, which is working with the theater change Bio Rex Cinemas on the digitalization.

SF Bio Screens Films for Swedish Campers

Swedes roughing it in the country don't need to miss out on going to the movies when SF Bio brings the movies to them.

For the fourth year in a row, SF Bio is setting up screens at campsites around Sweden. Not north of Karlstad, though, because that far north it won't get dark enough in the evening to be able to see anything on an outdoor screen.

Sf Bio's Campingbio takes place under the open air on an inflatable screen. This year campers can see Sommaren med Göran (Summer with Göran), a Swedish comedy with Peter Magnusson that was a hit in 2009. The movie is appropriate for children, so of course the whole family can watch.
