BoligPluss Gets Danish Cousin

Bonnier Publications' Norwegian interior design magazine BoligPluss to launch in Denmark.

After several successful years in Norway, Bonnier Publications' interior design magazine BoligPluss is expanding to Denmark. Bonnier Publications has previously taken a number of successful Danish magazine concepts to the Norwegian market, but this is the first time a Norwegian magazine is being "exported" to Denmark. The first issue will come out in October. Christina Dorthellinger, who is the editor-in-chief for the Norwegian BoligPluss, will have the same role for the Danish edition.

"I am certain that the niche we filled in Norway can be filled in Denmark as well," Dorthellinger says. "The cultural differences between the two countires aren't very big and so we expect to have the same growth."

BoligPluss has had both the biggest circulation and the fastest growing number of readers in the interior design segment in Norway during the first part of 2010, with an increase of 15.5 percent over the same period last year. At the same time, the number of ad pages increased by 26 percent during the crisis year of 2009.

Advertisers see BoligPluss as an attactive and inspiring interior design magazine, and the positive growth looks to continue during 2010, says Bonnier Media's advertising sales manager Trond Juliussen.
