Seven Min Nominations for Saveur and Parenting

Bonnier Corporation's Saveur and the Parenting Group are finalists in a total of seven categories for MIN's Best of Web Awards. Among the industry's top honors in the digital space, the awards recognize outstanding websites and digital initiatives among consumer and b2b magazines. Saveur snagged four nominations‚ while the Parenting Group took home three.

This spring, Marit Danielsson will become the head of factual programming for the TV4 Group. Her chief duties will be the intake and content of the companies factual programming.

Recognizing the crusaders for clean seas is what Scuba Diving’s Sea Heroes is all about.

U.S. sport interest title Scuba Diving doesn't just write about pristine ocean environments, it does its part to support those who are working hard to keep the world's bodies of waters clean. Which is why the magazine together with others started the Sea Heroes award program last spring. And now it will continue into 2012. Last year, five heroes were chosen and Shawn Heinrichs was declared the overall winner. The first hero this year will be named in the May issue of the magazine.

7:30 at Tara

Swedish woman's magazine Tara celebrated 11 years with a dinner for readers.

When Tara turned ten last year, the Swedish women's magazine held a big party at Stockholm's Nalen club, with advertisers, partners and freelancers. But for its 11th birthday, the magazine wanted to do something completely different and decided it was the readers' turn to celebrate with Tara.

The idea, based on TV4's popular food program Halv åtta hos mig (7:30 at my place), came from the editorial staff of the magazine.

TransWorld Skateboarding Celebrates 30

Industry legends and magazine stalwarts mingle at the grand release of the 30th volume of the iconic TransWorld Skateboarding.

Last week, TransWorld SKATEboarding opened its skate park in proper celebratory fashion, inviting the skateboarding industry's elite, including top pro and legendary skaters, to mark the unveiling of its 30th volume. The special issue featured a cover shot of skating icon Mark Gonzales and interviews from the 30 most influential skaters of all time.

Bonnier Media Only Magazine Company Nominated for MBL Awards

Norwegian magazine publisher Bonnier Media, has been nominated as this year's sales department in Norway in 2011 in the annual competition of MBL (Norwegian Media Business's Association). Based on the results, expertise and level of activity, Bonnier Media was the only magazine publisher nominated in the category.

Meet Jussi Hakanen

GROW participant meets American TV - and alligators - when he trades Finland for Florida.

For someone who grew up on American pop culture, moving from Helsinki to Florida has been a dream come true. "All my life I've loved Happy Days, action movies, Springsteen, Seinfeld, Conan, NBA, HBO, etc.," says Jussi Hakanen, who is working at Bonnier Corporation for three months under the GROW program.

Meet Charles Amyx

GROW participant finds his way north from Winter Park to Vilnius.

When navigating a new city, if you bring a compass make sure it truly points north. So says Charles Amyx, who moved from Winter Park, Florida to Vilnius, Lithuania for three months under the GROW program. "I had brought a cheap button-sized compass with me because I thought it was one of those things I needed," says Amyx. "So, my very first day here I thought I should go to the grocery store for water and other necessities. I searched for one on Google Maps, made a note that it was northeast of my flat, and struck out on my first adventure in a new country.

ToppLoppet Race Attracts 4,200

ToppHälsa's second annual ToppLoppet race a strong followup to last year's success of the premiere.

On Oct. 1, the second annual ToppLoppet race was held by Bonnier Tidskrifter title ToppHälsa. The number of runners increased by 40 percent, with 4,200 people running five or ten kilometers under a sunny October sky in Stockholm's Hagaparken on the outskirts of the city. 

"It's a wonderful feeling to see thousands of happy people warm up and then run together," says Frida Boisen, editor-in-chief for ToppHälsa.

Birthday for Yourlife

Swedish magazine and event concept Yourlife celebrated its first year with sold-out events in Stockholm and Göteborg.

In 2009, the unique Yourlife concept started - under the radar - with a series of event evenings. Then in spring 2010, the Yourlife.nu site launched and the following September the first printed issue of the magazine came out.
