Meet Charles Amyx

GROW participant finds his way north from Winter Park to Vilnius.

When navigating a new city, if you bring a compass make sure it truly points north. So says Charles Amyx, who moved from Winter Park, Florida to Vilnius, Lithuania for three months under the GROW program. "I had brought a cheap button-sized compass with me because I thought it was one of those things I needed," says Amyx. "So, my very first day here I thought I should go to the grocery store for water and other necessities. I searched for one on Google Maps, made a note that it was northeast of my flat, and struck out on my first adventure in a new country.

Meet Josh Rashkin

GROW participant Josh Rashkin goes outside his comfort zone in Lithuania and finds things are actually pretty comfortable.

At the Bonnier Mountain Group in the U.S., Josh Rashkin, 29, is a web producer interactive developer, and at Lithuanian business daily Verslo Žinios, where he is on a three-month exchange with GROW, his title is interaktyvūs web programuotojo, which means interactive web developer.

Verslo Žinios Helps Business Help Charities

Verslo Zinios' Sales Champions League raises support for Save the Children and other organizations.

When Lithuanian business daily Verslo Žinios partnered with TMD Partners consulting firm to create the Sales Champions League, the participating companies weren't the only ones to benefit. While the goal of the competition ultimately is to help Lithuanian businesses improve their sales, the second phase of the Sales Champions League pitted sales teams against each other in garnering support for three different non-profits: Save the Children, Pifas animal shelters and youth development organization Kitas Variantas.

Verslo Zinios Gets New Managing Director

Ugnius Jankauskas takes over as managing director for Verslo Zinios. Former managing director Rolandas Barysas will continue to focus on the editorial side of the business.

Ugnius Jankauskas, 37, was appointed Managing Director of the publishing house Verslo Žinios in Lithiania on July 12.  He will replace former CEO Rolandas Barysas, who will remain editor-in-chief  of the business daily Verslo Žinios.
