TV4 Group and Hope for Africa's Horn

The TV4 Group, with UNICEF, Save the Children and the Red Cross start drive Hope for Africa's Horn.

The countries that make up the Horn of Africa are experiencing some of the worst drought in 60 years. So in cooperation with UNICEF, Save the Children and the Red Cross, the TV4 Group is launching a fund-raising drive, Hopp för Afrikas horn (Hope for Africa's Horn) to provide support for children in the region. The drive will start July 23.

Morning magazine program Nyhetsmorgon will carry the heart of the campaign, with a week of programming addressing the catastrophe and with special guests in the studio.

Meet Paul Gendek

From snow to TV studios, GROW participant Paul Gendek takes on new experiences in Sweden.

At 25, Paul Gendek has just had his first snowball fight. Which is no big surprise for someone who normally lives in Florida. However, just now Gendek is living in Stockholm and exchanging Bonnier Corporation for TV4 for three months as part of the GROW program. "This was the first time in my life that I've gotten to really experience the snow and everything that comes with it," he says.

Snow is just a small part of the switch.

Meet Ann Skånberg

Field Sales Representative of the Year finalist Ann Skånberg of TV4 beats her goals by competing with herself.

Ann Skånberg loves working at a company where men and women are treated equally and age is irrelevant. Skånberg credits Sweden's TV4 with this kind of forward thinking and its strong brand for helping her to become a finalist for Field Sales Representative of the Year in the Bonnier Sales Awards. "I am so proud and honored," she says.

With an accomplished past and a future that looks bright, Mats Ståhl of TV4 is a deserving finalist for the Bonnier Sales Awards.

Defining ambitious short-term and long-term sales goals is what leads to constant development and growth, says Mats Ståhl, sales manager at TV4 in Sweden. Ståhl, who started at TV4 in 2005, has continually focused on the bigger picture within the company and the media market. "Make sure you read and understand the company's goals for the next years," he says.
