Life At Bonnier - Bonnier Group Agency

Meet Reagan Johnson

GROW particpant switches magazines for books, Florida sun for Stockholm autumn leaves.

Two weeks after Reagan Johnson arrived in Stockholm from Orlando, Florida, she had already worn her warmest clothes. "It's cold in September! In Florida, we'd still be going to the beach on weekends," says Johnson, 29, who is in Sweden as a GROW participant for three months, working at Bonnier Group Agency (BGA).

Meet Christiane Bartelsen

Selling foreign book rights is a bit the same, a bit different at Carlsen Verlag and Bonnier Group Agency for GROW participant Christiane Bartelsen.

For GROW participant Christiane Bartelsen, the warm welcome she received from her new colleagues has helped her feel at home in a new country and a new company. Bartelsen, 42, recently made the switch from Carlsen Verlag in Hamburg where she's worked for ten years, to Bonnier Group Agency in Stockholm. At both companies, she works selling foreign rights. "At Carlsen, I am also responsible for the acquisition of industrial clients for whom we produce special editions with logo imprints, for example, Mercedes Benz and Vattenfall," she says.

Meet Hanna Kallankari

Switching from acquiring TV programs to selling book rights was an easy change, says Hanna Kallankari.

Hanna Kallankari, 30, comes from Keminmaa in northern Finland, but she's been living in Helsinki since she was 15. In 2003, she started working as a trainee at MTV Media, and by 2008 she had worked her way up to the position of Acquisitions Executive, acquiring TV programs for various MTV channels. In February, she traveled across the Baltic to Stockholm as a GROW participant to work for Bonnier Group Agency (BGA) with a very different product: books.
