Spoon Wins Big at Guldbladet 2011

Spoon shines with two gold and four silver awards at Sweden's Guldbladet awards for editorial communication.

Yesterday, the winners were announced for Guldbladet, Sweden's biggest prize for editorial communication. Held in Stockhlm at Operaterassen, Bonnier Tidskrifter's custom publisher Spoon won two first-place and four second-place prizes, including the best newcomer award for Fixa Själv, the do-it-yourself magazine from hardware chain Clas Ohlson.

Fixa Själv Distributed via Tidsam

Spoon and Clas Ohlson's Fixa Själv magazine will be available from 3,500 retailers - along with over 60 Clas Ohlson stores.

Fixa Själv (Do it yourself), which is published by Swedish hardware chain Clas Ohlson in cooperation with Bonnier Tidskrifter's custom magazine producer Spoon, is now being distributed via Tidsam.

Morberg Hits the iPad and the Newsstands

Swedish actor and chef Per Morberg is everwhere these days with a new iPad app based on his book Morberg jagar och lagar from Bonnier Fakta and his own magazine Magasin Morberg from Spoon.

Per Morberg is one of Sweden's most popular cooking celebrities, both appearing on TV4's channels as well as in books from Bonnier Fakta. Now his book Morberg jagar och lagar (Morberg hunts and cooks) has come out in an edition for the iPad.

The relaunch of free daily Stockholm City continues: the new City.se is up and running. On the site you can find the best articles and reporting from the print paper, along with slide shows by the paper's photographers, blogs by reporters, all with Stockholm as the focus.

"We may not be fastest or biggest, but we look the best and have the most personality," says Tobias Rydin, art director and the person responsible for the new site.

Business-to-Business Magazines for the iPad from Spoon

Swedish content agency Spoon to offer customer magazines on the Mag+ platform for the iPad.

Bonnier's Mag+ platform is now available from Spoon for business-to-business and other magazines. The Mag+ platform has gotten praise from Steve Jobs at Apple, among others, when Popular Science+ was launched simultaneously with the iPad in April in the U.S.

Fixa Själv, the new DIY magazine from Swedish hardware store chain Clas Ohlson and magazine maker Spoon, breaks new ground.

Customer magazine specialists Spoon and Swedish hardware chain Clas Ohlson are launching a new magazine, Fixa Själv - Fix-It-Yourself - on April 7. The magazine will focus on creative ideas for solving everyday household problems, everything from how to hang heavy objects on a plaster wall to bicycle repair. The magazine will come out six times a year and be available by subscription as well as in Clas Ohlson's 54 stores throughout Sweden. The stores receive some 26 million visitors yearly.
