New TV Series TransWorld Sessions to Premiere in the Fall

TransWorld Media takes a new step with TransWorld Sessions, a TV series on action sports of all types.

TransWorld Media's first television series, TransWorld Sessions, will debut this fall. The new show will be produced in partnership with Apparent Gravity Media. The series will include 26 half-hour episodes.

Piper Author Heinrich Steinfest Wins Prize

Mystery writer Heinrich Steinfest of Piper Verlag to get the Heimito von Doderer Literature Prize on Oct. 24.

Heinrich Steinfest, Austrian mystery writer and one of the star authors at German publisher Piper Verlag, has won the Heimito von Doderer Literature Prize.

Servicefinder and Vi i Villa in Strategic Partnership

Swedish homeowner website Villahjalpen.se will be run in a cooperation between Vi i Villa and Servicefinder.

Swedish home-owner magazine Vi i Villa's well-visited site Villahjalpen.se will in the future be run in cooperation with Servicefinder, one of the company's that is a part of Bonnier's B.Media Invest.

SDS Group Strengthens Its Digital Media

SDS Group's business area Digital Media will be broadened. Camilla Jonsson will be the new manager.

The mandate for the SDS Group's business area Digital Media has become broader - and deeper - with a comprensive approach for all digital development and sales. Sydsvenskan's managing editor Camilla Jonsson will be the new director and part of the corporate top management for SDS.

After a year of discussion and planning, MTV3.fi has a new front page. MTV3’s Petteri Ruotsalainen explains why.

MTV3.fi has gotten a new face. "After years of compromises and 'quick fixes' to sudden needs from different departments in the entire MTV Media company, we launched a new front page on August 16," says Petteri Ruotsalainen, managing editor for online content at MTV Media, the company behind Finland's largest commercial TV station, MTV3. "The goal was to find an answer to problems that plague the old front page.

Swedish Yourlife Magazine Debuts

Tomorrow the first issue of YourLife hits the newsstands. Carina Nunstedt talks about the Yourlife concept.

August 24 marks the release of the first issue of Yourlife, which will appear in newsstands across Sweden and land in the mailboxes of those who have joined the yourlife.nu website.

"We already have several thousand paying members that have found us via the website, so the magazine has been anxiously awaited," says Carina Nunstedt, concept publisher at Bonnier Tidskrifter and editor-in-chief for the magazine.

Cappelen Damm's Litteraturklubben Epp, part of the Tanum book club family in Norway, makes the switch online with a new partner, daily newspaper Dagbladet and a new model.

Norwegian book club Litteraturklubben Epp was started in 2008, when the publishers Cappelen and Damm merged and created a new joint book club family, Tanum. As a member of the Tanum family, Epp focused on Norwegian and translated high-quality literature. New writers and daring books have been central to what the club offers from the onset.

At Sweden Social Web Camp, the country's web entrepreneurs gather to talk about the future of the Internet.

For the second year in a row, Sweden's web entrepreneurs and others interested in social media gathered together on Tjärö island on the west coast of Sweden at SSWC, Sweden Social Web Camp. Some 400 people gathered together over the weekend of Aug. 13-15 to camp, swim and take saunas - and talk about the future of the Internet. Workshops and presentations are held based on interest, and run by the participants themselves.
